Dahl is an accomplished production designer, art director, and independent filmmaker known for his striking visual storytelling across television, true-crime programming, and independent film. Based in both Los Angeles and the  Philadelphia area, Dahl has built a diverse career that seamlessly blends fine arts, meticulous production design, and narrative screenwriting. 

Over the past decade, he has become a sought-after production designer and art director in the film and television industry. His notable credits include establishing the atmospheric and dark visual tones for high-profile true-crime and investigative series.  His design work is celebrated for its immersive detail, helping to heighten narrative tension and build realism on screen. 

In recent years, Dahl has successfully expanded his repertoire into screenwriting and directing. Driven by a passion for indie filmmaking and stories rooted in the LGBTQ+ community, he co-wrote and co-directed the acclaimed 2025 dark comedy short film Wee Willie Winkie, starring Laganja Estranja. The film earned critical praise and official selections at notable independent events, including the 2026 Gilbert Baker Film Festival. Additionally, his original screenplay Art of War gained industry recognition, securing a prestigious script award at the New York Metropolitan Film Festival.
