Reclaiming an unwritten queer history

Balancing rigorous historical truth with the liberating freedom of theatrical fantasy was the core creative achievement of the project. Grounded in archival evidence of wartime drag revues authorized by the armed forces, "Art of War" honors queer pioneers who thrived in places history often obscured. The series confronts the danger and repression of the era while celebrating the resilience, humor, and brilliance of artists who claimed their truth on stage.
